Meet Our Team

Godfrid Ndunguru

Godfrid Ndunguru is the Operations Manager for Nasera Safaris, a position he has excelled in for the past 8 years. Godfrid has extensive experience in designing personalized, all-encompassing high-end safaris throughout Tanzania.

After completing undergraduate studies, Godfrid worked in one of the larger safari companies in Tanzania. He then spent time in the United Kingdom doing his Masters before returning to establish Nasera Safaris.

Godfrid and his father, Joseph Ndunguru, bring a combined thirty years of safari experience, enthralling clients with their unparalled tours. Nasera Safaris’ dedicated team is committed to designing safaris that consistently surpass client expectations leaving lifelong memories and a longing to return to this magnificent land, its people and wildlife.

Joseph Ndunguru

Joseph Ndunguru was born and raised in Tanzania. He has worked more than thirty years studying and interpreting the wildlife of the country. Joseph has led safaris for the most important organizations (and for some of the the world’s most important people) for more than twenty years.

His sense of humor and encyclopedic knowledge make him a wonderful traveling companion. Prior to being a tour leader, Joseph worked for 16 years at Ngorongoro Crater in education and tourism.

Born in the southern part of Tanzania (near Mbinga), Joseph was educated in Uganda. When he was a youngster, the East African Union existed and Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda were cooperative members of the Union. Joseph was educated further at the College of African Wildlife Management and then traveled to the US where he attended the University of Michigan’s Park Management and Recreation program.

Our safari last January was intended to be a once-in-a-lifetime trip, but it only made me determined to go back, and under the care of Nasera Safaris! Godfrid worked closely with our group to plan our safari in northern Tanzania, and was always pleasant, professional, and rapidly responsive to our emails. This past winter 3 couples and my wife and I decided to embark on a Safari to Africa. The 3 couples spent hours investigating different areas of Africa and different Safari companies to accomplish our vacation. We settled on Nasera Safaris to be our tour company and set our journey of 2 weeks in Tanzania. Joseph was complimented by 2 other wonderful assistant guides. Clemence, who was very knowledgeable about animals and birds through our tour. Amani, who was also very knowledgeable about great sites to see and could “sniff” out the animals long before we could see them. In addition, his personality made everyday a pleasure to be with. I can’t imagine any other tour company offering this combination of people who absolutely excelled in every aspect of the Safari to make it a lifetime highlight.

Godfrid and Joseph Ndunguru of Nasera Safaris organized and guided a Kenya and Tanzania safari for my husband and myself and two good friends.
